The Solomos family name has been linked to the creation of wine on the island of Zakynthos since the early 1900s.
SOLOMOS WINERY is located at the foot of the Venetian Castle of Zakynthos. The modern structure’s building began in the early 80’s architected by traditional standards, as envisioned by the owners Anastasios and Dionysios Solomos, to preserve and evolve.
The varieties that the family use are mainly Augustiatis, perhaps the most famous variety of Zakynthos, Gustolidi, Pavlos, Skiadopoulos, Robola Lefki, Muscat, Violento and Black Robola.
The vineyards, both privately owned and those of winegrowers whom we have cooperated with for several years, consist mainly of old rootstock non-irrigated cup-shaped vine varieties, both in the plains and in the mountainous area of Zakynthos.
In recent years, the winemaking is carried out by Konstantina Solomos daughter of Anastasios, Ioannis A. Solomos and Ioannis D. Solomos whose aim is to develop what they have learned while also leaving their own imprint…
